Last updated: 06 October 2026

Who we are

SFBK Community Group CLG ("we", "us") is a not-for-profit company limited by guarantee, company number 757070, with its registered office at 10 The Village Green, The Spa, Tralee, Co. Kerry. We are the data controller for the personal details described in this notice, which means we decide how and why they are used.

In short: we collect only what we need to run our fundraising campaign for the community centre and pitch project. We use your details to record and receipt your gift or pledge, to respect requests not to be called on, and to reply to your messages. Only a small team of volunteers sees them. We do not publish names or amounts, we do not sell your details, and we keep them only for as long as this notice says.

To ask a question about your details, email sfbkcg@gmail.com or submit a query via the contact form on our website at www.sfbkcg.ie. We have not appointed a data protection officer.

A few further points:

  • Details given to volunteers at the door. Volunteers record them on paper forms or a phone and pass them to the donations team, who enter them in our register.

  • Card payments. We never see or store your card details. They are handled by Squarespace and its payment provider, Stripe.

  • Bank transfers and cheques. We receive your name and payment details through our AIB account.

  • Updates. We send news by email only if you have asked us to, and every message will say how to stop.

  • Automated decisions. We do not use your details for automated decision-making or profiling.

Who we share your details with

We do not sell your details. Only the small team of volunteers who manage donations and the household register can see them. We share them only with the services that help us run the campaign, and only so they can do that job:

  • Squarespace, which hosts this website and its forms and handles online payments.

  • Our payment provider, Stripe, which processes card payments.

  • Google, for the email account and the register we use to record gifts and pledges.

  • AIB, where our bank account is held.

We may also share details where the law requires it, for example with Revenue, the Gardaí or a court. Grant funders sometimes ask us to show how much we have raised. If they do, we will share totals, not the names of donors, unless you have agreed.

Transfers outside the EU and EEA

Some of these providers, such as Squarespace and Google, are based in or process data in the United States. Where that happens, they rely on safeguards that data protection law accepts, such as the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses. Your rights

You can ask us to:

  • show you the details we hold about you, and give you a copy;

  • correct anything that is wrong;

  • delete your details, where we have no good reason to keep them;

  • limit how we use your details;

  • stop using your details where we rely on our legitimate interest; and

  • stop following up a pledge, by withdrawing your consent.

To use any of these rights, email sfbkcg@gmail.com [or write to us at the address above]. We will reply within one month. Some records, such as accounting records, we must keep for the period set out above, and we will tell you if that affects your request.

If you are unhappy with how we have used your details, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Data Protection Commission, the Irish data protection regulator, at www.dataprotection.ie.

Cookies, security and changes to this notice

Cookies

This website uses cookies that are needed for it to work, such as for payments and forms. You can accept or decline non-essential cookies in the banner when you first visit, and change your choice at any time through the cookie settings link on the site.

Keeping your details safe

Only the volunteers who manage donations can open the register. It is kept in a password-protected account, and any paper forms are stored securely until they are entered and then destroyed. We will tell you if there is ever a breach that puts your details at risk, and report it to the Data Protection Commission where the law requires.

Changes to this notice

If we change how we use your details, we will update this page and the date at the top. We will not use your details for anything new without telling you first.
